ABOUT DR. WAGGENER, DC

Dr. Waggener has been working in the field of therapeutic massage/bodywork and chiropractic for 27 years. She attended The Boulder School of Massage Therapy in 1981, moving to California in 1983 to study Lomi Body Work (body/mind based therapy) in Marin County. During this time she began studying with Dr. Tom Hendrickson, a chiropractor in Kensington. Dr. Hendrickson is the founder of The Hendrickson Method of Massage Therapy and the author of "Massage for Orthopedic Conditions". This association led to an increased awareness of the benefits of chiropractic in combination with massage.

Dr. Waggener began studies at Life West Chiropractic College in 1991, graduating in 1994, and has been in chiropractic practice in Albany and Kensington continuously for the past 25 years.

Dr. Waggener's expertise in soft tissue massage combined with traditional chiropractic adjustments offers a unique and effective approach to treating patients with a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Whiplash, lower back and neck sprains and strains, shoulder injuries, work related over-use syndromes and degenerative changes are all conditions she treats on a daily basis.

Dr. Waggener especially enjoys working with individuals new to chiropractic who may be nervous about going to a chiropractor for the first time. Many of her patients are at a point in their lives where they are seeking advice on how to improve the strength, flexibility and overall function of their bodies. Recommending exercise programs that fit with individual lifestyles and personalities is an essential component of her treatment.

After decades of experience as a hands-on clinician, I have created a practice to provide pain relief care, as quickly as possible, applying the most science-based technology and techniques to restore proper function and reduce pain and inflammation." Dr. Sandra Waggener
